Responsible for the administration and oversight of all facets of museum operations, including staff supervision, management of budgets and grants, the development of educational programming and exhibits, fundraising and revenue generation, collections management, and public relations. The Director is responsible for policy and procedures that ensure the museum operates under best practices and maintains its AAM accreditation.
The Director manages the museum as an interdisciplinary unit central to the university's academic mission; as an undergraduate resource for experiential learning; and as a dynamic graduate training site for museum studies.
A minimum of five-years museum or cultural resource executive management experience.
Demonstrated success in the development and administrative management of programs and personnel.
Successful budgetary management skills and development of private/external support.
Ph.D. degree in History or American Studies
