The Department of History at Connecticut College invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Native American History to begin July 1, 2022. The Department seeks a scholar of critical race studies and ethnicity who focuses on Native Studies in early North American history, early American history, or US history in the 19th century with an emphasis on local histories, Native history, or comparative indigeneity. All thematic approaches are welcome, with particular interest in gender and sexuality and/or environmental history. The successful candidate would regularly offer courses in Early American history along with other courses in their interests, expertise, and research areas.
