2022-23 Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Gender and LGBTQ+ History Fellow at the Center for Women’s History Hired for a two-year term, the Andrew W. Mellon Gender and LGBTQ+ History Fellow works as a public historian for the New-York Historical Society’s Center for Women’s History. The ideal candidate will have a strong scholarly background in LGBTQ+ and gender history, and have an interest in public history. The Gender and LGBTQ+ History Fellow will strengthen the interpretive and pedagogical aspects of LGBTQ+ programming, expanding interdisciplinary efforts to encompass the intersection of women's history with gender studies and LGBTQ+ history, as the New-York Historical Society prepares to engage fully with the new LGBTQ+ Museum.
