The Department of History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor who specializes in the history of slavery in North America.
The Department of History seeks candidates who can bolster our existing strengths in African American History, United States History, and Southern History. The Department also seeks candidates whose commitment to scholarship, teaching, and service will support a climate of diversity and public engagement.
The teaching load for this position is 2 classes per semester.
Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. in History or a related field in-hand by July 1, 2022.
