Assistant Professor of U.S. History - pre-contact to 1865
The Department of History at Saint Michael's College (Colchester, VT) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in U.S. History - pre-contact to 1865 (Civil War) beginning AY 2022. We welcome applications from all subfields of U.S. history, but preference will be given to candidates whose work focuses on race, gender, and/or public history. Teaching responsibilities will include a general survey in U.S. History - pre-contact to 1865 (Civil War), specialized courses and seminars in the candidate’s areas of specialization and interest, and opportunities to advise theses and independent research. Teaching load is six courses per academic year.
