The Department of History at Emory University is excited to announce the establishment of the Cahoon Family Chair in American History. We invite applications from scholars at the Associate Professor or Full Professor rank with research and teaching expertise in pre-20th century Native American history. We are especially interested in applications from women, members of under-represented groups, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities, as well as others who would bring additional diversity to the university’s research and teaching endeavors. Applicants will be expected to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and to provide intellectual and programmatic leadership across the University and throughout the broader community.
