Position Overview: The Department of History and Political Science invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of History, with a specialization in American History. This is a tenure-track, full-time position.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate courses in American History (introductory surveys and advanced courses in the candidate's area of expertise). The department seeks a person with a strong commitment to, and demonstrated excellence in, undergraduate teaching. Teaching load is 24 semester hours per year.
Qualifications: Ph.D. required, although ABD applicants (who are very near completion) will be considered. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to, and demonstrated excellence in, undergraduate teaching.
Additional Salary Information: Dependent upon qualifications and experience.
